A New Dorm
George Fox University (GFU) is building a new dormitory to accommodate the growth of the student population.
“There is nothing set in stone right now,” says the Director of University Housing, Kayin Griffith. The plans for this new dormitory were debuted at Family Weekend (Oct. 27-29). The goal is for the dormitory to be completed in time for the fall semester of 2019 and open for housing selection in the spring semester of 2019. As of now, the dormitory is unnamed.

Sophia Lawrence: Defensive Player of the Week and Christ-Centered Sportsman
Sophia Lawrence, a freshman at George Fox University (GFU), was recently named the Northwest Conference (NWC) Women’s Volleyball “Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week.” This is her first honor by the conference office. Lawrence’s plays were critical in helping the Bruins continue their winning streak of five consecutive NWC games at the end of October.

New Food Truck Pod in Newberg to Be Completed Soon!
NEWBERG, ORE. - George Fox University (GFU) students can anticipate the arrival of a new food truck block in downtown Newberg which is to be completed in the next month or two. The new pod of food trucks will be located on 1st St., near the 99W commuter parking lot. There are currently only two trucks on the property, to be joined by at least six more in the near future.
