GFU Multicultural Life
George Fox University’s (GFU) Multicultural Life is a branch of Associated Student Community (ASC) that many students have heard of but few students know much about. This ASC branch focuses on the cultural diversity that can be found in the school.

Once a student athlete at George Fox University (GFU), now the new Director of Athletics (AD), Adam Puckett feels right at home here in Newberg. He returns to GFU after 13 years in the corporate finance industry. His wish to one day come back to one of the places he loves most in this world has finally come true.
Julie Litchfield
Four years ago, Julie Litchfield lived in a small town on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska. She did not know what she wanted to do for college, except that she wanted to be a collegiate athlete. Fast-forward to today and Litchfield is graduating this year with a degree in biology and plans to attend graduate school in order to become a nurse practitioner. She is also one of the captains of the George Fox University (GFU) basketball team and is engaged to be married this summer.

While he practiced for only two weeks and attended classes for less than one week, it was not until June 2017, according to the Newberg Graphic, that he filed several claims against GFU without an attorney.

A New Dorm
George Fox University (GFU) is building a new dormitory to accommodate the growth of the student population.
“There is nothing set in stone right now,” says the Director of University Housing, Kayin Griffith. The plans for this new dormitory were debuted at Family Weekend (Oct. 27-29). The goal is for the dormitory to be completed in time for the fall semester of 2019 and open for housing selection in the spring semester of 2019. As of now, the dormitory is unnamed.
A New Chapter
The restoration of a popular downtown Newberg coffee shop is finally complete: Chapters now has a restored original storefront. This renowned attraction for coffee drinkers and book readers alike has an interesting history, one that starts with one of George Fox University’s (GFU) very own professors.
Sophia Lawrence: Defensive Player of the Week and Christ-Centered Sportsman
Sophia Lawrence, a freshman at George Fox University (GFU), was recently named the Northwest Conference (NWC) Women’s Volleyball “Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week.” This is her first honor by the conference office. Lawrence’s plays were critical in helping the Bruins continue their winning streak of five consecutive NWC games at the end of October.
