NEWBERG, Ore. – Planning for the future just became easier with George Fox University’s (GFU) new StarHuzz Housing and Community Life Portal.

Concerned about housing after finishing your degree? Lonely and poor? Helicopter parents want you to move back in? Can’t afford a single room? Direct your woes to the portal one last time.

The updated resource assists graduating students in finding their future spouse. While emails remind GFU students to complete housing intent and class registration for the upcoming year, seniors must also submit their relationship status following graduation.

Many decision deadlines are approaching, including the first day of spring, by which you must have a ring, or be on track to getting a ring.

The steps are similar to the housing process for freshman year; StarHuzz will be more advanced as you’re no longer a high school senior. The school plans to find you the perfect match to grab a sweet treat with, argue over random things, or stay up late talking to.

After filling out a few questions, such as bed/waking times, estimated hours spent doing work and desired number of children, your profile will generate preferences. You can then view other profiles to find and message compatible partners.

It must be noted that if you fail to connect with any prospects and do not choose your own match, a selection will be made for you by StarHuzz’s software.

Housing is not the only office to extend new services in this endeavor at GFU. The Career and Academic Planning (CAP) Center is also looking to undergo a transformation. If approved, Stevens will bustle with couples scheduling appointments at the Covenant Aligning Pre-Marriage Center (CAP-M) starting in August 2026.

Further, the chapel will host weddings for StarHuzz couples at a 15% discount, greater than the 10% discount already provided to alumni.

All of these initiatives were inspired by the university’s commitment to ensuring students’ success and well-being, leaving GFU students more equipped for the world than when they arrived.
